      It’s often said that it is not appropriate to give 'toys' to people with Alzheimer's , however it is not inappropriate to give toys to people with Alzheimer’s. They might not be aware of the benefit they are getting from the play, but if you watch them I am sure you will see it.
      Look at the tangle toy, it can be manipulated therefore providing exercises for the hands and arms. Tangle provide can be fiddle with for hours and are very relaxing.
      Therapy Dolls are a must for some people with Dementia. A large number of people with Dementia struggle with some form of distress. Taking responsibility for a doll may bring back some memories of early parenthood and help the person feel useful and wanted.
